馃搼 Postgraduates Studies 馃搼
Hi Mr. Careaga and classmates another blog! I honestly don't know much about postgraduate degrees other than that they add a degree of specialization to your curriculum haha馃槄
I want to specialize in something when I finish journalism because I want to advance as a professional, plus I find that it is a "plus" to find a good job. But from my perspective it should never be done immediately after finishing university because it is overloading yourself, you need a break after years of studying. I would like to rest after graduation, but if I want to go to graduate school maybe one or two years later.
On the subject of the obstacles to doing postgraduate studies, I think the most relevant one is money, because graduate studies are very expensive. You have to consider that if you just graduated from your career, we are just entering the working world and we don´t have the means to finance a graduate degree, only if you are fortunate enough to ask for monetary help from your parents.
In Chile, if I had the opportunity to do a postgraduate course, I would do it at the University of Chile because I know that they have very good options. But as I have always had the dream of traveling abroad I would also like to do my graduate studies in some of these countries: Japan, United States, France, or Spain.
I have the same obstacle of money, they are very expensive, unfortunately :(
